ACP Rail International has strong withstanding relationships with many international railways. We pride ourselves in delivering a global audience for our partners and sound booking systems for customers to purchase wherever they are in the world. Over the years, ACP has grown rapidly to become a major player in the international rail market. Some of our key successes have been:
ATOC
Since the year 2000, ACP has been the sole managing partner for the BritRail brand on behalf of the U.K.'s Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC). Our role has included managing the BritRail brand and product line from pricing, research, product development, promotions and global distribution with the goal of driving interest and sales. We develop annual strategies and marketing plans to tackle the ever changing travel market landscape. Our goal is to raise the awareness of UK rail travel before the traveler leaves home so that they arrive in the U.K. committed to rail travel and having paid in advance.
Eurail
ACP Rail International was the first non railway owned, private company to be granted a global Eurail contract in 2003. At the time, the objective of Eurail Gie was to use ACP to bring a fresh approach and a new dimension into the Eurail Pass and Eurail ticket distribution market and thus drive new sales in what they saw as a stagnant market place. Eurail saw ACP as an ideal partner with a global distribution system and a ready-made network of Sales Outlets.
Eurail is a well known global brand but only entrusted to a handful of contractors. Through ACP's low cost structure, we are able to remain competitive and provide sound marketing and remuneration to our trade partners. We are also able to identify precise segments within geographic areas and work with specialist operators to maximize sales in those markets.
Scandinavian Rail
For over 15 year now, ACP has worked with both the Swedish Railways (SJ) and Norwegian Railways (NSB) on separate projects to ensure both marketing and distribution of their tickets and passes.
Selling NSB and SJ, which are niche products, meant that ACP has had to work closely with the railways on a technical, pricing and marketing basis. Together, we have identified the target markets and the major players in all markets.
East Japan Railway Company
The East Japan Railway Company was attracted to ACP's affiliate company AccesRail to manage the distribution of its line of rail passes via the GDS. This new arrangement broadens the JR East Pass's availability to about 150,000 worldwide locations. The system also allows the passes to be sold freely as E-Tickets redeemable in Japan.
